Road To Dalailah

-The twinkling lights of the neon nights
In the slipstream dust leaving town
Concrete and painted lines break into gravel
True north illuminated by my headlights

-Nomadic hobo's Hopes waiting by a train less track.
It left the station and its never coming back
Pedal to the floor  there's nothing left for me here anymore
This city boy is going to the country

-One way B line, prepaid return trip nevermind
Lived too much for the city, Leavin the excess behind
Heading toward a simpler kind

Shake it loose , Shake it free… This city boys going to the country

Pulled on over to the side of the road in the darkness of the night
For the first time in my life i wrote my name in the snow
I broke free from all these name chains
ate my breakfast at a diner with no name
and I got high with Delailah,  aint’ nothing finer than Delailah

Shake it loose, shake it free…   this city boy’s going in the country

I Hear a train a coming… It's a coming down the track
I Hear a train a coming… The hobos hopes are back.
Reach into my pocket…   Put a penny on the track
And I made a promise that… I'm never going back
This life is what was meant for me

Pulled on over to the side of the road in the darkness of the night
I looked up to the sky and I said Thank you for my life
I broke free from all these name chains
ate my breakfast at that diner with no name

still gettin high with Delailah, Still gettin,Still gettin High with Delailah Ain't nothin ain't nothin ain't nothing finer then Delailah Still getting high, still gettin high still gettin high with Delailah
Shake it loose, shake it free… this city boy’s going in the country
